almost a year...

Zac and Mommy at the park - Memorial Day Weekend

Zac contemplating...

Funny face in the pack n' play (2 bottom teeth on display)

Zac tries real hard to peel the knots in the floor off the floor...

Our first trip to the beach for the summer - he had a blast!

Here I am in my crib - ok...take a picture!

This was pre-crawling...not sure what to do with himself. Things have since changed!

Zac loves his starfish (and the shirt Auntie Ashley made him!)

A big big boy on Daddy's shoulders

I absolutely love these swings - please don't stop pushing!!!

Zac's first trip to the fire station (three buildings from our apt.) - he was in heaven!

Told you...heaven! He was at one point attempting to drive the truck.

Pickles...he loves them! They have proven to be great for teething.

It's hard to believe that almost a year has passed. Unfortunately, several images that were captured are gone...while putting zac in his carseat last weekend, I put the camera on the roof of the car and off it flew. Sad, but true! The majority of these images are from our phones, so hopefully the quality will suffice. We'll keep snapping them - and downloading them! Thank you to Ashley for encouraging me to keep this thing current...I'm terrible at taking the time to do it.

The long and short of it is this. Zac is almost 1, we are SO incredibly glad to have winter behind us and the outdoors inviting us to explore everyday, Stephen finished his first grueling year of school last week and we are so excited to have him around until September. What a treat! He and Zac will be exploring quite a bit this summer while I work. I'm lucky to have Friday's off and will also take some extra long weekends to spend with my boys! Zac started 'school' today and will be attending 2 days/week for now. He loves the interaction and time with the other children. We're so happy we decided to do this.

Zac is thriving - our last trip to the dr. (9 months - in April) proved to be a BIG visit. No shots, just a staggering weight of 22 lbs. 13 oz. and 31 1/2 inches long. He's no longer a preemie! The last 6 weeks have been such milestone weeks. He started crawling, pulling himself up, he's gotten his first two teeth and he waves at anyone/anything that he thinks he can get a response from. Da-Da and Baaa are the two words that are quite interchangable...he points to everything and repeatedly says 'baa'. The fake coughing we could live without, but it's par for the course. He's a ham and we are having so much fun with him. He loves the dog and pulls so hard on his fur that it's amazing he's not yet bald...the dog doesn't even flinch (thank goodness!)

We've explored so much and done so many fun things - too many to mention in this posting.

Enjoy the photos and I'll do my best to stay current this summer. Until then, enjoy this magnificent weather!!!
