spring is on it's way, right? the forecasters keep saying it's feeling like spring and then the next day it's windy, cold and not resembling spring at all. we're just hoping that sooner rather than later we catch a glimpse of the warmth. we are eager to get back out and take our regular walks minus all the layers. just remembered that the groundhog saw his shadow, so i suppose we need to be patient as winter slowly disappears. happy early spring to everyone!
Happy Fall!
We have been enjoying the fall colors and parks in RI! We have been so lucky to have such amazing weather. Zac and I make it a point to get out for a run or nice walk everyday. There are so many neat things to see and do in the area. This past week we went on a walk with our playgroup through a pleasant cemetary (Swan Point Cemetery). It was supposed to be considered a spooky walk for halloween, but everyone enjoyed the fact that it was such a beautiful day and a place to learn for sure. It was established in 1846 and is situated on 200 beautiful acres. We are exploring so many new places and really enjoying the fact that we have this time together. We look forward to showing Stephen all the fun stuff we've learned and explored come the Spring when things slow down for him (we can only hope, right?!?!) - Hope everyone is enjoying the weather and time with their families as we near the holiday season.
Summer?!?!
Where did Summer go? It seems that we were just enjoying Memorial Day and talking about the months ahead...now we're talking about the Fall weather and what's in store for the Winter and following Spring...before we know it, Zac will be turning 1! We are doing our best to enjoy the 'now' vs. too much anticipation of the future. Many of you have told us to enjoy it now as they grow up so fast. Thank you for this advice we can already see changes taking place and our little peanut is transforming into a baby with a personality.
We are so excited to start this new chapter in our lives. Dad will be starting school very soon so we're embracing all the time together that we can. Zac is a sleeper for sure, not certain if it's due to the fact that he's a preemie or if the nurses at Yale just got him very well conditioned. We are hoping it's the latter... Some new pics are included of our final hours at Yale and our ride home. We are enjoying our new home and getting to know our neighborhood. We have been venturing out for evening walks and it's nice to get some fresh air. Stay tuned for more pictures - just a few to post for now - due to limited time.
We are so excited to welcome our little guy into this world. It's the beginning of an entirely new chapter. Dad has been packing for our move while I am sitting out the remainder of this pregnancy at Yale. It's really not so bad - we've had lots of visitors and many callers.
Visitors to date have been:
Stephen (that's a given...he is the Dad & all!), Dana, Hope, Kerry, Ashley and Amy have all visited a few times, Angela, Andrea, Susan, Shelley, the Uhrynowski's, Peter and Dempsey, Mom & Dad (a very excited "Granmare" & Pop-Pop). Lynn & Michael (ZAC's grandmother and grandfather to be!) & of course the doctor's from my practice who always answer all my questions while doing the rounds...I consider them visitors...especially Dr. Julie who sticks around & chats (when time allows) - it's a nice feeling!
We have received beautiful arrangements from Angela & Keith, Andrea, Hope, Dana and a nice zinnia plant from Susan - they all make me smile...thank you!
All the visits and calls are so appreciated!!! Thank you to all of you for your love and support. Stephen and I are both so grateful.
