So here's the deal...I have a bit of an issue when I hear and/or see lifestar. Sounds silly, but it's been anxiety provoking for several years. I know the sound of it from miles away and frequently will tell Stephen that lifestar is flying over and then run onto the deck (at our house) to see it - for some reason I believe that if I see it, everything is ok.
Well...here in room 1052 at Yale I have the opportunity (quite regularly) to hear AND see lifestar preparing to land on the floor above mine. Lovely, right? Here' s a pic of it. Not the best shot, but please remember I had to rush/sneak over to the window to snap this photo while being on "bedrest".

Great Blog! I can attest to Getchen's bionic ear for Lifestar. I think it is really wierd that no matter where I have been in the world, when I hear the local "lifestar" helicopter, I think of my little-bigger sister and her aversion. Look forward to seeing my nephew, unfortunately for me via the world wide web for now.
Gretchen...I am very proud of you for facing your Lifestar fear and actually posting it on your site. :) Progress, my friend...progress...
